Car Break-In Spree Under Investigation In North Wilton
Wilton police are asking for help in identifying two people caught on video attempting to burglarize cars in several different areas of town.The car burglaries took place Thursday night and early Friday on Ambler Lane, Briardale Place, Crosswicks Ridge, Hurlbutt Street, McFadden Drive, Old Danbury Road, Pimpewaug Road, School Road, Winton Terrace and Skunk Lane, police said. As things return to normal in Darien following three Nor'easters, car burglars are back in action and police are reminding residents to lock their cars.Darien police said over the past few nights, several unlocked cars have been burglarized and two cars with the keys in it were stolen. Police say that most criminals will move on if a car is locked because they don't want to make noise breaking a window to get inside. Two Teens Charged With Burglarizing Cars In Stamford
Two Stamford teens were arrested for burglarizing eight cars on the East Side, according to Capt. Rich Conklin. The teens -- ages 16 and 17 -- were caught about 9 p.m. Wednesday on Limerick street by Stamford officers who were patrolling the area after receiving a 911 call from a resident, Conklin said. When the officers responded to the scene, they were able to spot three teens within about two minutes, police said. When the officer pulled up, the teens took off running, but one of the officers was able to tackle one of the teens and another was found hiding in bushes in a backyard. The …
