On Thursday, April 16, the blaze engulfed Tiptons' Logging and Sawmill in Union Bridge, completely gutting the structure and leaving behind charred wreckage.

A longtime police sergeant in Maryland is facing multiple child porn charges after being arrested by deputies in Carroll County, officials confirmed.
Mark Burhoe, a 20-year veteran of the Montgomery County Department of Police, was taken into custody on Thursday, July 10, according to the agency on Friday, where he was charged with multiple counts of possession of child pornography, the department said.
