A Linden man was arrested after assaulting another driver during a racially-charged and violent dispute over a parking spot, said authorities who charged him David M. Central Jersey Ferry To Manhattan Gets $5M Federal Boost
A $5 million federal grant to build a new ferry terminal in Middlesex County has been approved, officials said. Ferries would run between Raritan Bay and downtown Manhattan and be within walking distance of NJ Transit rail service. Middlesex Prosecutor: Carteret Man, 66, Caught With Child Pornography
A 66-year-old man from Carteret was arrested on child pornography charges, authorities said. A tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) prompted the investigation of Edward Kross by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, assisted by Carteret police, Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher L.C. One person was rescued from a boat fire on the Perth Amboy waterfront Thursday evening, authorities said. Fire Department units arrived to find a boat on fire with a person still on board around 5 20 p.m., near Front and Gordon street, Perth Amboy fire officials said. Hawthorne Man Dies After Falling Through Ice At Monksville Reservoir
UPDATE: A Hawthorne man who fell into the Monksville Reservoir in Ringwood while apparently ice fishing Friday afternoon died a short time later, authorities said. Robert R. Trojanowski, 54, was taken by ambulance to Chilton Hospital in Pequannock, as were two Ringwood police officers who jumped in to save him.
