Beloved Central Jersey dad of newborn twins Harjot Singh died in a car accident on Friday, Oct. 14. He was 29. Born in Basant Pura, Barara Haryana, India, Harjot moved to New Jersey nine years ago and lived in Princeton Junction at the time of his death, according to a GoFundMe created for his funeral expenses. A crash with injuries was reported in Central Jersey, authorities said. The crash occurred about 12:20 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7 on Route 27 northbound near Vineland Road in Edison Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transporation. Woman Overdoses In Central Jersey, 2nd Woman Recovers: Police
A 49-year-old woman died from a possible drug overdose in Central Jersey, authorities said. The fatality occurred on Friday afternoon, Sept. 30 at a Red Roof Inn on New Durham Road in Edison, initial reports said. A second woman was disoriented when police arrived but is doing well, according to Deputy Police Chief Robert J. Dudash Jr. The incident remains under investigation by the Detective Bureau, he said.

A driver was pistol-whipped in the head during a carjacking in Central Jersey, according to RLS Metro Breaking News. The incident occurred in the 800 block of Port Reading Avenue in Woodbridge around 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, the outlet said. The suspect approached the driver, demanded a Mercedes-Benz G-Class and attacked the victim before speeding away in the car, the outlet said. A 56-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Central Jersey, authorities said. The man was driving a 2001 Ford Escape west on Prospect Plains Road in Monroe at 2:11 am.
