Lengthy Investigation Leads To Arrest Of Suspect In Robbery At Chase Bank In Nassau County
A months-long investigation into a bank robbery on Long Island led to the arrest of a suspect who is now facing charges, police announced.
On Friday, Feb. 25, Nassau County police investigators that Freeport resident Shamont Hoosuendove, age 37, has been charged with one count of second-degree robbery after targeting Chase Bank in Carle Place last fall.
Police said that shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, Hoosuendove allegedly walked into Chase Bank on Old Country Road, slipping a teller a note demanding money.

Duo Nabbed For Attempting To Rob Suffolk County Bank, Police Say
A serial bank robber was among two who were busted attempting to rob a Long Island branch, police announced.
According to the Suffolk County Police Department, Mastic resident Dominic Scotto, age 31, entered Chase Bank on Grand Boulevard in Deer Park at approximately 4:50 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 13, handing a teller a note demanding cash.
When the teller declined, police said that Scotto left the bank empty-handed, and he and his driver, West Islip resident Adam Postiglione, age 32, were arrested outside the bank after authorities were notified.

Bank Robbery Suspect Nabbed A Day After Getting Away With Cash, Police Say
A suspected bank robber in the Hudson Valley was nabbed following an investigation.
Christopher Foxton, age 38, of Greenwood Lake in Orange County, was arrested on Saturday, Oct. 16, said police.
According to police, Foxton, formerly of Ringwood, New Jersey, walked into the Chase Bank on Windermere Avenue and demanded money while displaying a firearm, the Greenwood Lake Police Department said.
After getting a bag of cash, Foxton fled the area on foot, police said.
