'Nip Hunt' Captures Almost 50,000 Littered Bottles Over Weekend Tens of thousands of littered nip bottles were picked up over a weekend citywide cleanup and “nip hunt.” All in all, a group of volunteers picked up almost 50,000 littered miniature "nip" liquor bottles in Gardner on Saturday, Oct. 3. The hunt was sponsored in part by Anthony’s Liquor Mart, which put out a “bounty” on the tiny liquor bottles during the event - 5 cents per nip.  Owner James Kraskouskas said he paid out just under $2,500, according to the Worcester Telegram and Gazette. Gov. Charlie Baker announced on Sept. 3 that the state would be targeting the state’s five highest risk communities - Chelse, Everett, Lawrence, Lynn, and Revere - for COVID-19 violations. Covid-19: Free Testing Coming To Worcester County, Western Massachusetts Targetted COVID-19 testing sites are being dispatched to hot spots in Worcester County and Western Massachusetts. On Monday, July 27, Gov. Charlie Baker announced the expansion of the “Stop the Spread” initiative, which provides free COVID-19 testing where it’s most needed. New testing sites in the Western part of the state include: Agawam Springfield Worcester. The sites are now being launched and will be available through Aug. 14.
