Officers have charged an elderly man for a series of pickpocket thefts that occurred between April and September 2022 throughout several locations in Montgomery County, authorities announce. Arthur Earnest Kelly, 71, was arrested after being accused of distracting elderly victims in grocery stores before stealing their wallets and using their credit cards to purchase items at other stores, according to Montgomery County police. Police in Maryland are investigating after a 24-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Montgomery County. Chevy Chase resident Abdesselam Beggar was killed shortly after 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police, which announced their investigation into the fatal crash. A silver alert has been issued for a Chevy Chase woman who went missing overnight, authorities say. Gail Jacobs, 60, was last seen leaving the 7400 block of Wyndale Lane around 10:40 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, according to Montgomery County Police.
