Two men are facing weapons and drug charges after Clifton police stopped a motorcycle early Sunday morning, Sept. 14, authorities said.
At about 3:14 a.m., Officer Benjamin Bressel saw a 2024 Zhilo motorcycle with two riders near Lexington Avenue and Highland Avenue, Lt. Robert Anderson said. The driver wore a ski mask, and the passenger had no helmet. The motorcycle turned onto Van Winkle Avenue into Passaic before parking, and Bressel conducted a stop, according to Anderson.

Funeral services have been set for Alisa Dawes, a 30-year-old Englewood woman remembered by loved ones as a “bright light” who “lifted others with her kindness.”
Dawes died on Tuesday, Aug. 19, according to her obituary. Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 5, from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by homegoing services from 11 a.m. to noon at Eternity Funeral Service, 129 Engle St., Englewood. A Cedar Grove man was arrested after Clifton police found a machete, drugs packaged for sale, and thousands in cash inside his van, authorities said.
The incident happened around 3:47 a.m. on Friday, July 11, near Central Avenue and Russel Street, according to Clifton Police Lt. Robert Anderson.
Officers Benjamin Bressel and Samantha Beazley were on patrol when they pulled over a 2012 Honda Odyssey for multiple non-moving violations.

Ibrahem O. Elgebaly, 30, was taken into custody by Clifton police on Monday, June 16, on an active warrant out of East Rutherford, according to ERPD Capt. Jeff Yannacone.
