State education authorities suspended the teaching license for three years of a local dad and former Closter schools official who cursed out and put a 16-year-old in a headlock during a youth flag football game. Police overnight Wednesday chased a sedan reportedly stolen out of Allendale to Newark at speeds of up to 100 miles an hour, in yet another in a series of pre-dawn pursuits throughout North Jersey. Closter police tracked down a Jersey City man who they said fled during a stolen-car chase earlier this year. Justin Howard, 19, was charged with eluding, resisting arrest and receiving stolen property stemming from the Feb. 4 incident. Vincent McHale has been appointed the new superintendent of schools in Closter. The change went into effect July 1. McHale replaced Joanne Newbury, who retired June 30.
