Kenneth Steier of Poughkeepsie had been hiking Thursday along the Washburn Trail at Hudson Highland State Park, about a mile south of Breakneck Ridge, said Randy Simons, a spokesman for the state Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation. Nicholas Budney’s body was found outside of Billy Joe’s Ribwork’s in Newburgh on Sunday, the reports state. He worked with emergency service for the NYPD in the Bronx prior to his apparent suicide.
