Iconic Ride At Rye Playland To Celebrate 95th Anniversary
A popular Westchester amusement park is planning on celebrating the 95th anniversary of its iconic roller coaster with two weekends of fun activities and events. The Dragon Coaster at Rye Playland, which opened in 1929, will celebrate its birthday weekend on Saturday, July 20, and Sunday, July 21, the park announced. Designed by Frederick A. Church, the wooden ride measures 80 feet high and has around 3,400 feet of track. Kristen Hayley Jones of Haddon Township, died suddenly on May 24, according to an obituary published by Jackson Funeral Home. She was 24 years old. Kristen was a 2018 Haddon Township High School graduate and was recently attending classes in acting and creative writing, which she loved, her obituary said. A popular Asbury Park concert venue is getting ready to rock again more than six months after it was severely damaged by flooding. House of Independents posted a teaser photo on Instagram on Wednesday, Apr. 10. The post hinted at a summer reopening and said a "2.0" version of the Cookman Avenue venue was "now loading." Summer concerts at Long Island staple Jones Beach Theater are about to get a whole lot better thanks to a massive renovation project in the works. Live Nation Entertainment is making a multimillion-dollar investment that’s meant to improve the concert-going experience at the 70-year-old outdoor amphitheater, Gov.
