A Fairfield County mother and daughter are celebrating their good fortune after claiming a $10,000 lottery prize.
Danbury residents Terry Lionheart and her daughter, Amy Lionheart, claimed the 10X Cash 15th Edition prize on Friday, May 27, Connecticut Lottery announced on Friday, June 3.
CT Lottery said Terry and Amy typically go grocery shopping together at a major supermarket.
However, after a recent long day at work, Amy was too tired to take them shopping, so Terry visited a bodega that was close by for some groceries.

Tom Heltzel, of Litchfield, purchased a Quick Pick at Cumberland Farms #4590 in Torrington for each of the day's draw games on Tuesday, Dec. 14, according to Connecticut Lottery.

A Connecticut man is celebrating after he claimed a $10,000 lottery prize.
Jerry Cooney, of Hartford, used $20 to purchase some lottery tickets at Manousos Wine & Liquors in Wethersfield on Friday, Nov. 17, according to Connecticut Lottery.
When his winning "iHeart Radio Concert Cash" ticket was scanned at the store, an employee congratulated him, CT Lottery said.
"I'm thinking I won $10, maybe $20, but he stuck his hand out and shook my hand," he said. "Then he handed me the ticket with the $10,000 (claim receipt). I've never won anything this big before!"
