Worker Killed In Fall At Norwalk's SoNo Collection A construction worker fell to his death while working during the early morning hours on the SoNo Collection in Norwalk. The unidentified man fell around 2:39 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 12, at the new shopping area located at 100 North Water Street, said Lt. Terry Blake with the Norwalk Police Department. Blake said the man fell from an elevated height.  Arriving officers rendered aid to the man, who was transported to the Norwalk Hospital by ambulance where the man later died, Blake said. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was notified and is investigating the incident. …

Worker, 60, Dies In Fall At Site Of Former Clifton Nightclub A 60-year-old worker died after he fell 20 feet from a scaffold Monday afternoon in Clifton. The victim had been part of a crew that's transforming the former Bliss nightclub on Allwood Road into an attorney's office. Responders said the victim sustained a skull fracture. CPR was conducted before he was taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, they said. Next-of-kin notifications were being made, authorities said. OSHA was notified.

Explosion At Route 17 Construction Sites Injures Workers Two employees received facial injuries following an explosion at a sewer construction site in Rockland County.  The incident took place around 2:34 p.m. Monday on Route 17 in Sloatsburg at the "Metra Construction" site, said the Ramapo Police Department.
