An explosive device was thrown onto the lawn of a Freeport home, Nassau County police announced on Sunday, Oct. 5.
The incident happened at a Broadway residence on Monday, Sept. 8, at 7:10 a.m., when an unknown man damaged the property by tossing the device, according to detectives.
An investigation led police to identify Michael S. Brown, 52, of Liberty Park Drive, as the suspect. He was arrested on Saturday, Oct. 4.

A woman is accused of attacking multiple people during a fight at the Elizabethtown High School football stadium, police announced on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
Amber Dillinger of Elizabethtown attacked a woman, leaving her with minor injuries, on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 4:30 p.m., according to the Elizabethtown Police Department.
Two additional people were also struck by Dillinger before she left the scene, police detailed in the release.
Dillinger has been charged with Simple Assault, Harassment, Disorderly Conduct, and Criminal Mischief.

Jason Franco, 34, of Bellmore, was involved in a domestic disturbance at a North Bellmore home on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 4:40 p.m., according to police.
