Arson At Shippensburg Sheetz, Police Say
A man set a Sheetz in Shippensburg on fire during a burglary on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, authorities say.
James Allen Duncan, 30, of Shippensburg, went to the closed Sheetz at 15 North Washington Street and kicked in a side door to enter around 5 p.m. on March 7, 2023, area police stated in a release the following day.
Smoke was seen billowing from the building between 10 to 15 minutes after Duncan left it, according to the police.

Trespasser Punches, Injures Officers During Arrest On Long Island, Police Say
A call about a suspected trespasser ended with a 31-year-old man behind bars for assaulting two police officers, authorities said.
Police were initially called at around 10:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, with reports of a suspicious person at a commercial building in Valley Stream, located on Franklin Avenue near Sunrise Highway, according to Nassau County Police.
Following an investigation, officers arrested David Owusu, of Valley Stream, on a charge of third-degree criminal trespass.

The home robbery and assault in the 1100 block of Steinments Road in Ephrata Township on Dec. 22, 2022, at 8:33 p.m., according to the police release on Thursday, January 19.

500 Gallons Of Cooking Oil Stolen From Restaurant: Westchester Duo Nabbed In CT, Police Say
Two New York men have been arrested for allegedly stealing more than 500 gallons of used cooking oil at a Connecticut restaurant.
The men, both from Westchester County, were stopped in Litchfield County in Harwinton around 5:45 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 12.
According to Connecticut State Police, the duo, identified as Yonkers residents Jeyson Santiago, age 25, and Isaac Then, age 25, were stopped after troopers received a 911 call regarding a suspicious vehicle parked near a restaurant in Harwinton.
