Philly Mosque Vandal Arrested, Charged
Philadelphia police say they caught the man responsible for vandalizing a mosque in West Oak Lane over the weekend.
Johnathan Boone, 47, of Germantown section, was charged with criminal mischief, institutional vandalism, and criminal trespassing, city police said in a statement Tuesday, Feb. 28.
The incident occurred at Masjidullah, 7401 Limekiln Pike, just before midnight on Friday, Feb. 24, Daily Voice has reported. Mosque leaders posted photos to Facebook on Saturday, Feb. 25 showing crudely painted messages and images on the house of worship's doors and walls.

Poconos Man Stole Drugs From His Impounded Car, Police Say
A Monroe County man faces criminal trespassing charges for allegedly trying to sneak into a police impound lot and remove marijuana from his confiscated car, authorities say.
Leroy Litus, 23, of Tobyhanna, was pulled over by Pocono Township police for a traffic stop around 3 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12, the department said.
Officers claimed they could smell marijuana and asked for permission to search Litus' car, which he declined. Police seized the vehicle and impounded it while they worked to obtain a search warrant, authorities said.

Out-Of-State Driver Tases Owner Of Little Ferry Impound Lot, Police Charge
An out-of-state driver zapped the owner of a Little Ferry impound lot with a stun gun when he couldn't get his car back, authorities charged.
Leon Henry, 29, of Wilmington, NC, had been stopped and issued summonses early Monday, Dec. 12, for, among other offenses, having fictitious plates and driving an unregistered vehicle, Little Ferry Police Chief James Walters said.
The license plate on the 2018 Dodge Challenger had a blacked-out frame over it, Walters said.
