Two cats are missing after a two-alarm house fire broke out overnight in the Candlewood Lake area of Danbury. Just before 1 a.m. Saturday, the Danbury Fire Department was dispatched to 8 Indian Spring Road in the Candlewood Lake area for the report of a chimney fire, said James Gagliardo, public information officer for the Danbury Fire Department. Engine 23 arrived on scene first and encountered an attached garage with fire coming through the roof. Lt. Fully Involved Tractor-Trailer Fire Breaks Out On I-84 In Danbury
A driver escaped without injury after a fire broke out on a tractor-trailer on I-84 in Danbury early Monday morning. Just before 3 a.m., Western Connecticut 911 center started receiving calls for a tractor-trailer fire on westbound I-84 between exits 5 and 6. Fire units were dispatched to the highway and upon arrival found a fully involved trailer which was loaded with paper goods, according to James Gagliardo, public information officer for the Danbury Fire Department. Driver, Residents Injured As Pickup Truck Slams Into Danbury House
Three people were hospitalized after a pickup truck slammed into a house in Danbury early Saturday morning, according to James Gagliardo of the Danbury Fire Department. Just before 4 a.m. Saturday, the Danbury Fire Department was dispatched to the area of West Wooster Street and Garfield Avenue by Western Connecticut 911 along with City of Danbury EMS and the Police Department for a report of a vehicle into a house with possible entrapment. Two vehicles collided and both subsequently rolled over, with a total of six injuries reported in a serious crash on Route 7 North in Brookfield on Saturday, Feb. 10. When it comes to being a firefighter you never know who or what you might rush to save. Friday, Danbury firefighters were busy saving a large white swan stuck in the ice at Poets Landing. The department said on their Facebook page that they were called for a public assist for the report of a swan stuck in the ice in the area of Candlewood Lake near Hayestown Avenue. DANBURY, Conn. — Two people who suffered burns in a car explosion overnight in Danbury were sent to the hospital for treatment, fire officials said. DANBURY, Conn. — Danbury firefighters quickly extinguished a fully involved blaze in a shed near a home on Jackson Drive on Friday afternoon, the department said in a statement.
