A Dauphin County jury found a 34-year-old man guilty of sexually assaulting a teenage family member in 2019, following a two-day trial. Technicality Could Lead To Lighter Sentence For Trucker Guilty In 22-Year-Old NJ Man's Death
The Pennsylvania State Supreme Court ruled that a lower court's sentencing of a trucker convicted of killing three people including one from New Jersey was too harsh. Derrick Hutcherson, 36, shot his girlfriend in the head and held her grandmother and his child hostage for 33 hours last month-- now police say he attacked a fellow inmate with a milk crate. Inmate, 19, Dies In Dauphin County Prison
Police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old inmate in the Dauphin County Prison. Kejuan Cooke was found unresponsive by his cellmate on Tuesday, police said. The cellmate called for help and prison staff performed CPR, but Cooke was shortly declared deceased. Cooke was arrested at 18 in 2019 for simple assault and was sentenced to serve just under a year, according to court documents.
