A Maryland man has admitted to his role in the fatal shooting of a popular 34-year-old man in Northeast DC over Thanksgiving weekend last year, authorities announced. Andre Hicks, 40, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to second-degree murder while armed in connection to the death of Southeast DC resident Daniel Adams in November 2023.
