A Glen Rock police officer was driving his cruiser beside another car on northbound Route 208 when a third vehicle – with a drunk driver behind the wheel -- squeezed between both, forcing them out of their lanes, authorities said. Glen Rock Police Ticketed 76 Drivers For Violations At Safety Checkpoint
The Glen Rock Police Department is keeping the streets safe -- starting with drivers. Authorities last Monday issued 76 summonses to vehicles found with safety violations at a checkpoint last Monday on Maple Avenue and Harding Plaza, and 45 motorists had overdue inspections. Six drivers were cited for driving while talking on their phones. GLEN ROCK, N.J. – Last month’s annual distracted driver crackdown produced the results that Glen Rock police hoped for, along with some other benefits. Glen Rock PD: Passed-Out Motorist On Crack Barrels Onto Lawn
GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- A motorist on crack drove onto a Glen Rock resident's lawn -- uprooting shrubs in the process -- where police found her passed out behind the wheel, authorities said. Officers who responded to Prospect Street near Locust Road just before 6 a.m. Friday found 47-year-old Kelley J. Hoskins of Rockaway Township asleep in the driver's seat of a 2015 Jetta, smelling of alcohol, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said.
