A man claiming to be a federal agent was chased down in a stolen sailboat in the Delaware River on Thursday, Aug. 16, according to authorities. City police were patrolling the river near Penn's Landing around 7 p.m. when a member of a sailing club flagged them down about a stolen vessel, the department said. 4 'Incredibly Lucky' Boaters Rescued Off Gloucester County: US Coast Guard
The U.S. Coast Guard rescued four people after their 12-foot vessel became disabled in the Delaware River near Chester Island, Gloucester County, authorities said. The owner and operator of the aluminum boat contacted watchstanders at the Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay command center on Sunday, July 30. All lanes of the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge were closed Sunday evening, July 30 after a tractor trailer caught fire underneath it. Philadelphia police are investigating after a man's body was recovered from the Delaware River late on Sunday, July 23, the department told Daily Voice.
