A Delaware man who was formerly a teacher has been sentenced to New Jersey state prison for sexually assaulting a student under 16 years old, authorities said. Thomas Herlihy, 37, of New Castle, Delaware, was sentenced Friday to seven years in a treatment facility for sex offenders, according to Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill.
