The man who sold heroin to an individual who overdosed on it last month was found with more than 100 heroin folds, 70 opioid films and more, according to North Jersey authorities who arrested him.
Jason Keidel, 51, of Secaucus, was arrested on March 16 and charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute and several other drug charges, and lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Facility, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said.

Three North Jersey residents were charged with stealing COVID-19 relief money after applying for separate loans for made-up businesses, authorities said.
Adam Rodriguez, 22, of Clifton, and Madison Sedell, 19, of Secaucus, last year applied for three separate loans -- two for $10,000 and one for $9,000 -- for made-up agricultural and marketing companies, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said.

A 24-year-old Jersey City woman was charged in a pair of hit-and-run crashes that occurred last week in Secaucus, authorities said Wednesday.
Amanda Hernandez, 24, was arrested on Jan. 5 -- two days after the crashes -- and slapped with multiple charges including assault by auto, leaving the scene of an accident and more.

A Fairview driver had ecstasy and her teenage passenger had a warrant for his arrest when police in Secaucus stopped her on motor vehicle violations, authorities said.
Vanessa Benavidez, 21, was charged with resisting arrested after being stopped on County Avenue around 12 a.m. on Aug. 11, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said.

Police called to a report of a fight at a Secaucus hotel found a handgun, hollow-point bullets and cocaine in a Guttenberg man's room, authorities said.
Pedro Sarkis-Farah Laporte, 23, brandished the semi-automatic weapon in a dispute with a 25-year-old Union City woman around 4:30 p.m. Monday, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said.
