Newly-released bodycam footage shows the arrest of a Morristown councilwoman for DUI in Denville last month. Toshiba Foster, 50, of Parsippany, was charged with DWI, reckless driving, careless driving, and operation of an unregistered vehicle on Sept. 6, records show. Footage of the stop was released by Transparency Bodycam on YouTube. The outlet said her BAC was .20%, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08%. A 43-year-old Hillside man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in Denville, authorities announced Monday, Aug. 8. At 2:15 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Route 10 East for failing to maintain its lane, Denville police said. The driver, Cain Morales-Galicia was determined to be driving while intoxicated, police said. Morales-Galicia was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, reckless driving and failing to maintain a lane, police said. He was released pending a court appearance.

A 30-year-old Bloomfield woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in Denville, authorities recently announced. On Friday, Aug. 15, at 11:38 p.m., officers spotted a vehicle failing to maintain its lane on Morris Avenue, Denville police said. Ruth Louis was determined to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated and was arrested after failing a series of roadside tests, police said. A 21-year-old Morris Plains resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in Denville, authorities recently announced. At 1:03 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7, officers pulled over a vehicle on Route 53 for following a vehicle too closely, Denville Police said. The driver of the vehicle, Fabian Carvajal Patino, was determined to be driving while intoxicated, police said. Patino was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence, following too closely, reckless driving and careless driving, police said.

A 60-year-old Morris Plains resident was arrested for driving under the influence following a crash in Denville on Friday, Aug. 8, authorities said. At 10:52 p.m., officers responded to a report of a black sedan that had crashed into the woods off Franklin Road, near the train overpass, Denville police said. Officers determined the driver, Marcie Levison, was impaired due to alcohol and/or drugs, police said Levison was arrested and transported to police headquarters. A 33-year-old woman was arrested and charged after she attempted to steal vehicle from a gas station, authorities announced Tuesday, Aug. 12. On Sunday, Aug. 10, officers responded to the Shell Gas Station at 279 E. Main Street after Johanna Posada-Ramirez, who has no fixed residence, burglarized a vehicle and attempted to steal it, Denville police said. Posada-Ramirez was fleeing the area when officers arrived, but she was located at the Denville Train Station, police said. She is charged with criminal attempt to steal a motor vehicle and burglary, police said.

Unsafe Lane Change Leads To DWI Charge For Morristown Woman: Denville PD
A 36-year-old Morristown woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in Denville on Sunday, Aug. 3, authorities said. At 2:34 a.m., officers observed a vehicle making an unsafe lane change while traveling westbound on Route 10, Denville police said. During a traffic stop, the driver, Faith Altiner, exhibited signs of impairment, police said. Altiner failed several field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving while intoxicated, police said. Altiner was also charged with careless driving, reckless driving and unsafe lane change, police said.

Michele Parkins, a 46-year-old Denville resident and founder of Great Kids Place, was killed on Thursday, July 17, after she was hit by a car while riding her bike, authorities said. The crash occurred on Old Boonton Road near Bush Road, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office said. Parkins was transported to St. Clare’s Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, authorities said. Woman Drowns At Denville Beach: Prosecutor
A 33-year-old woman drowned at a New Jersey beach on Sunday, July 13, authorities said. At 5:50 p.m., first responders responded to Cedar Lake Beach in Denville after the woman was observed unresponsive by other swimmers, who called 9-1-1, a spokesperson for the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said. The woman, who was not identified, was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and pronounced dead, authorities said. No foul play is suspected, authorities said. The incident remains under investigation, authorities said.
