Police Searching For Armed Bank Robber In White Truck
Police are asking the public for help locating a man who allegedly robbed an area Trustco Bank at gunpoint. The robbery took place in Fishkill around 11:59 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29, when the man walked into the bank at 1545 Route 52 and demanded money while using a gun, said Town of Fishkill Police Lt. Paul Schettino. The man, described as being a white man wearing a black hoodie and mask, got away with cash, Schettino said. Long Island Man Pleads Guilty To Using Long Island Home To Produce Ecstasy, Grow Pot
An electrician with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection has pleaded guilty to using a stash house on Long Island to produce ecstasy and grown marijuana. Joseph Guida, 45, of Elmhurst, entered his plea on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the federal courthouse in Central Islip. According to court filings, Guida used a house in Mastic for more than five years to manufacture MDMA and marijuana for resale, said the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York. Two Critical After Serious Multi-Vehicle Crash On Northbound NJ Turnpike In Ridgefield
Two victims reportedly were in critical condition and several others seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash Sunday night on the northbound New Jersey Turnpike in Ridgefield. At least four other occupants also were hospitalized after the crash, which occurred just before 7 p.m. along the stretch near the Route 80 and 95 merge that heads toward the Route 46 exits. The 35-year-old man who injured a family of six after slamming his SUV into their car driving the wrong way on the Bronx River Parkway last week has been arraigned as he continues to recover from his own injuries sustained in the crash. Manhattan resident Diego Caceres was charged with assault at his bedside arraignment at Westchester Medical Center on Tuesday morning. A 35-year-old man has been identified as the wrong way driver who slammed into an SUV on the Bronx River Parkway in Westchester early Friday, injuring a family of six, according to the Westchester County Police.
