Drive-By Killing: Alleged Gang Members Indicted For Long Island Incident
Two men and suspected gang members from Long Island were indicted for their alleged role in a 2019 drive-by murder, officials said.
On Tuesday, Aug. 29, Deion Barros (also known as “D” and “Little D”), age 27, was arraigned on charged including murder for a 2019 Hempstead incident, one week after Taiquan Cullum (also known as “Tay Tay”), age 33 was similarly arraigned, the Nassau County District Attorney announced.
Cullum, age 33, and Barros, age 27, both Hempstead residents, are accused of killing 36-year-old Paul LaRue in 2019 as an act of revenge.

Two Atlantic City men were sentenced to 10 years in New Jersey State Prison for their roles in a drive-by shooting, authorities said.
Adresce Jones, 20, and Armaad Brooks-Chappelle, 21, were sentenced on charges of attempted murder, unlawful possession of community guns, and related crimes, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
A third defendant, Quran Fenwick, 19, also of Atlantic City, pleaded guilty for his role in the drive-by shooting to charges of attempted murder and possession of a handgun for an unlawful purpose.

Drive-By Shooting Near Long Island House Seriously Injures Man: Police
Police are investigating a Long Island drive-by shooting that has left one person seriously injured.
The shooting happened on Saturday, Aug. 19 in North Amityville, according to Suffolk County Police.
A 29-year-old was standing outside a home on Prospect Street when, at approximately 3:30 p.m., he was shot at.
The suspect, who is currently at large, was described as a man in a dark-colored four-door sedan.
Police reported that the victim, whose identity has not been released, was taken to an area hospital for treatment of his serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.
