Chase Ends When Suspect Crashes Stolen Car Into Middletown Police Cruiser
The hunt for a stolen vehicle from Allentown, Pa., ended with a chase and a crash into a Middletown Police vehicle. The series of events unfolded earlier in the week when police learned that a 2017 Nissan Altima, stolen from a Dunkin' Donuts in Allentown, might be in the Middletown area, said New York State Trooper Steven Nevel. Police: Man Busted Passed Out In Car With 130 Bags Of Heroin In Ramapo
ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. - A man passed out behind the wheel of his car was busted by Ramapo police officers on Tuesday night with nearly 150 packages of heroin in his possession. An officer on patrol from Ramapo Police Department spotted a car parked off of Summit Park Road in New Hempstead at approximately 8 p.m. on Tuesday night. When he approached, the officer reported that the driver appeared to be passed out in the front seat. Four Rockland, Orange Motorists Face DWI Charges
With State Police continuing to crack down on impaired drivers, four Hudson Valley motorists were among six busted for drinking and driving this week. On Tuesday, state police troopers in Haverstraw stopped New City resident Miriam Wolfson, 55, on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Stony Point when she committed a vehicle and traffic law violation. During the subsequent investigation, it was determined that Wolfson was impaired and she was arrested at the scene for driving while intoxicated.
