Oakland Police Officer Captures Philly Fugitive An Oakland police officer captured a fugitive wanted in connection with a shooting in Philadelphia. Anton Sheldon Hicks, 40, remained held Wednesday in the Bergen County Jail pending extradition. Officer Bryan Rowin arrested Hicks, of Philadelphia, during a traffic stop Saturday on Skyline Drive, Detective Lt. Christian Eldridge said. Besides being charged as a fugitive from justice, Hicks received a summons for driving without a license, Eldridge said. Sgt. Bart Pagerie assisted.

Kevin Michel, of Spring Valley, was arrested on Friday, Sept. 6, after Stony Point police received a report of a man shoplifting in ShopRite, said Stony Point Police Lt. Daniel J Hylas. According to police, Michel was observed leaving the store with a handbasket containing stolen merchandise and then entered a vehicle. Man Caught With Cocaine During Traffic Stop In Area, Police Say A Poughkeepsie man was allegedly nabbed with cocaine during a traffic stop. Hector R. Ramos, 32, was arrested following a stop on Main Street on Monday, July 22, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Officer Matthew Galli. A police investigation found that Ramos was allegedly in possession of approximately 1.5 grams of cocaine and that he was driving without a valid license, Galli said.
