Long Island Man Driving Drunk With Two Kids In Car Crashes Into Pole, Picket Fence, Police Say
A Long Island man is facing charges after allegedly driving drunk and crashing his car into a telephone pole and picket fence with two kids in the vehicle, police said.
Damien William, age 25, s was driving a 2016 Toyota Camry on Fifth Avenue in Bay Shore at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18, police said, when he struck the pole and the fence.
Police said that there were three passengers inside the vehicle at the time of the crash: a 23-year-old Bay Shore woman and her two children, ages 4 and 5.
No injuries were reported in the crash.

A Warren County man was drunk when he crashed into a pickup truck parked on the side of the road early Sunday morning, authorities said.
Samuel Roff, 25, was driving a 2009 Kia on Arthur Terrace in Hackettstown and crashed into a 2010 Dodge Ram parked on the side of the the road just after 4:20 a.m., police said.
Roff, of Mansfield Township, was uninjured in the crash, and a follow-up investigation determined that he was intoxicated, authorities said.

A Long Island woman who crashed into a pickup truck stopped at a red light was driving drunk with an infant in her vehicle, police said.
The crash happened around 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12 in Holtsville.
Danielle Smith, 35, of Farmingville, was driving a 2012 Jeep Liberty westbound on Barretts Avenue with her 9-month-old son in the vehicle when she attempted to turn northbound onto Waverly Avenue and crashed into a southbound 2020 Chevrolet Silverado that was stopped at a red light, Suffolk County Police said.
