Fire Erupts In Bergenfield Home
A fast-moving fire that ravaged a Bergenfield home rekindled several hours late, bringing firefighters back. No one was injured in the fierce fire, which ignited on the second floor of the single-family Carnation Place home behind the Knickerbocker Country Club shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 12. Firefighters knocked down the blaze within a half-hour. It was placed under control around 4:40 p.m., roughly 45 minutes after it began. A damaged lithium battery ignited a living room fire in Dumont, responders said. The fire broke out in a home at the corner of East Madison Avenue and Depew Street shortly after 10:30 a.m. Sunday, March 13. Firefighters quickly knocked it down, containing it to a single room. Dumont Firefighters Douse Overnight Blaze
Firefighters overcame cluttered conditions to douse an overnight house blaze in Dumont, responders said. The Richard Drive family and their pets weren't home when the fire broke out in a second-floor rear bedroom before dawn Friday, March 11, they said. Firefighters knocked it down within 20 minutes. No injuries were reported. Fire officials were investigating. Responders commonly refer to hoarding-hampered fires as "Collyers mansion syndrome" after two wealthy Harlem brothers who died in a 1947 fire amid stacks of newspapers, books, tin cans and rotting trash.

A married dad from Dumont was arrested Friday on child porn charges. John Bucci, a 39-year-old service account manager, was taken into custody during a raid on his home, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Firefighters Contain Vehicle Blaze To Garage Of Bergenfield Home
Firefighters contained a Bergenfield car blaze that severely damaged an attached garage Sunday night. The Bogert Place call was quickly upgraded to a second alarm on arrival around 7 p.m., responders said. Firefighters made quick work of it, containing the flames to the garage. The sedan was totaled. Deadly Levels Of CO Overcome Dumont Couple
Two Dumont residents who were overcome by carbon monoxide gas were rescued by responders. Both were taken to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center after police, firefighters and EMS members responded to the Niagara Street home shortly before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
