Scratch-Off Bought On Whim Wins $100,000 In Baltimore County
A Maryland Lottery player is $100,000 richer. The 69-year-old Baltimore grandfather says he bought the $10 Bingo X10 ticket on a whim. "Something said to buy that game," he told lottery officials. The scratch-off was sold at MP Liquors on North Point Boulevard in Dundalk. The retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, told the lottery that he intends to deposit his winnings in a bank for the time being. Dad Killed Crossing Street In Central Pennsylvania
A father has died from injuries he sustained when he was hit by a car on Monday night, according to police and his family. Lower Paxton Township Police were called to a report of a pedestrian struck in the 5500 block of Allentown Boulevard on Dec. 20 at 6:17 p.m., according to a release by police. Upon arrival, police found George R. Slack Jr., 53, laying in the westbound lanes of Allentown Boulevard. Baltimore County Man Gets Life Without Parole For Rape Of 11-Year-Old Girl: Prosecutors
A Baltimore man was sentenced to life in prison for the 2019 kidnapping and rape of an 11-year-old girl outside a Dundalk school, multiple news outlets report. Royal Jamar Quinn, 26, received life without parole after a jury previously convicted him of first-degree rape, attempted first-degree rape, and kidnapping in connection with the kidnap and rape. Baltimore County Circuit Court Judge Andrew Battista handed down the life sentence on Dec. 16.
