Buurma Farms Inc. announced on Tuesday, Sept. 14, that it is recalling 320 boxes of Plain Parsley. The products were harvested on Monday, Aug. 30. Both ponds had been closed to visitors due to high levels of bacteria in the water. Dean Park Pond, off Main Street, had been closed for weeks before town officials reopened it on Thursday, Aug. 13. Fishing can now resume on the pond, but swimming or wading ist still not allowed Rotary Park Pond, off Old Mill Pond Road, was closed on Thursday, Aug. 13 as laboratory testing showed high levels of E. Dean Park Pond was closed to the public by health officials July 10 after the discovery of high levels of E. Coli. The Main Street pond was tested again on July 16 and a high level of the bacteria was found again. Levels are not at a level safe for fishing.
