A 41-year-old New York man has been charged in his mom's New Jersey murder, authorities said. Jason Gordon is believed to have killed his mom, Carmen Gordon, 68, in her Cozzens Court home in East Brunswick, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Police Chief Frank LoSacco said. Gordon was found dead around 11:10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22, by officers performing a wellness check. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident was not a random act of violence. A 77-year-old man died in a fire in Central Jersey early Tuesday, Dec. 20, authorities said. A woman has been arrested in Fairfield County for allegedly using counterfeit money to pay for a drug store purchase. The incident took place in New Canaan, on March 17 at the Walgreens Pharmacy Store at 36 Pine St. According to Lt. : East Brunswick Woman Used Counterfeit Cash At CT Walgreens, Police Say
A Central Jersey woman was arrested for using counterfeit cash at a Walgreens store in Connecticut, police said. Khadijah Latifah Tabitha Greene, 29, of East Brunswick, apparently used the money at the New Canaan sore last March, Lt. Marc DeFelice said. Greene was taken into custody on Thursday, Dec. 15 by New Canaan Police and charged with larceny and forgery, DeFelice said. She was processed and released on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, Dec. 29.

Bomb Threats At 3 Walmarts In Central Jersey Unfounded
There were bomb threats reported at three Walmart stores in Central Jersey, authorities said. The Monday, July 18 threats came at about 3:30 p.m. at 1126 Route 9 in Old Bridge, at the Edison Walmart on Route 27 and at the East Brunswick Walmart on Route 18.
