Officials are tracking a nine-foot shark that has been making its way up and down the East Coast and was recently spotted not far off the Maryland and Virginia shores. “Frosty,” a 9-foot-2 juvenile White Shark that weighs in at nearly 400 pounds has been tracked from Georgia up the coast and into the waters surrounding the DMV region. NASA Rocket Launch Will Be Visible In Virginia
A small rocket expected to lift off form the NASA Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia will be visible across the East Coast Tuesday, April 25. The Terrier-Improved Malemute sounding rocket carrying the SubTEC-9 is set to launch between 7:15 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 25. See map above for where and how long the rocket will be visible. The mission is to test new technology projects being developed by the NASA Sounding Rockets Program Office. The launch was initially set for Monday, April 24, but was scrubbed due to issues with payload instrumentation.

A NASA rocket set to launch early Monday, Nov. 7 will be visible along the East Coast. The Northrop Grumman’s Antares rocket and Cygnus cargo spacecraft had initially been set to launch Sunday, Nov. 6, but were postponed due to a fire alarm at Northrop Grumman’s Cygnus spacecraft control center in Dulles, VA.
