Monmouth County Man, 28, Arrested For Threatening Uber Driver With Knife, Police Say
A 28-year-old man from Monmouth County was charged with terroristic threats and weapons offenses after threatening an Uber driver with a knife during an argument over pricing, authorities said. Police responded to the incident on Dutch Neck Road in East Windsor around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20, EWPD Officer Sebastian Marin said. Felipe Sanchez, of Neptune, allegedly got into a dispute with his Uber driver over the price of his fare and threatened the driver with a knife. Recent Hightstown High School graduate Julia McDaid, 18, was found dead in East Windsor Monday morning, police said. McDaid’s body was found near Bear Brook off of Oak Creek Road around 9:10 a.m., East Windsor Police said in a press release. Mercer County Burn Victim Flown To Hospital: Police
A man from Mercer County was flown to a hospital after suffering burns, authorities said. The victim was burned at his home on Shagbark Lane in East Windsor shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 15, township police Det. Sgt. Matthew Oehling told DailyVoice.com. The man was flown via medical helicopter to Cooper Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston for treatment, Oehling said. Additional details were not released.

The pedestrian struck and killed by a tractor trailer on the NJ Turnpike over the weekend has been identified as a 43-year-old Somerdale man. Charles Niclas 3rd, 43, was standing outside of a vehicle on the shoulder but in the northbound lane of travel when he was struck by a Peterbuilt tractor hauling a fifth wheel recreational vehicle near milepost 648.4 on Saturday, April 16, New Jersey State Police Trooper Alejandro Goez said. Pedestrian Killed On NJ Turnpike
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car on the NJ Turnpike in Mercer County Saturday, April 16, authorities said. The crash occurred on the northbound side of the highway in the outer roadway at milepost 68.4 in East Windsor around 12:25 p.m., New Jersey State Trooper Alejandro Goez said. The driver of the car that struck the victim remained on scene and was not injured while the pedestrian was pronounced dead, Goez said. The right two lanes were closed for accident investigation.

A Maryland motorist who was stopped for driving recklessly through the Willowbrook Mall parking lot in Wayne not only had a stolen license plate on his car and an outstanding warrant for his arrest, authorities said. A Mercer County man is accused of uploading a significant amount of child pornography and recording himself engaging in sex acts with a horse, authorities announced Monday. Mitchell B. Richtman, 31, was arrested Thursday after a search of his East Windsor home turned up devices containing a second-degree amount of child pornography depicting children as young as five years old, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Three cars were stolen from one Mercer County town in a matter of days, local police confirmed.
