UPDATE: A third member of a burglary ring that targeted Asian-American small business owners in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Delaware has pleaded guilty, authorities confirmed.
Kevin Jackson, 57, of Rahway, was part of a second-story crew that the FBI said worked from a hit list of dozens of homes in four states based on “stereotype and opportunity."
One of Jackson's associates told detectives that Asians were targeted “because it was believed that the victims kept large sums of currency and jewelry in their residences,” an FBI complaint says.

Pespas, 55, of Phillipsburg, was last seen in the Easton, PA area around 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, according to directors Sam Lipman-Stern and Adam Bhala Lough
Pespas, formerly of North Plainfield and Plainfield, teamed up with Lipman-Stern to create the three-part HBO mini docu-series "Telemarketers," which shined a light on the truth about the telemarketing industry. It premiered in August.

An Allentown police officer pointed a shotgun at his wife and threatened to kill her and her children, according to a criminal complaint filed in Northampton County court obtained by Daily Voice.
Ismael Segarra, 37, is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and related counts stemming from a domestic incident at his Easton home on Tuesday, June 27, police documents say.

Pedestrian, 77, Killed Crossing Easton Street
An Easton man is dead after being struck by a car while crossing a city street on Thursday, June 15.
Saifeddin Alrefai, 77, of the West Ward, was walking across Larry Holmes Drive when he was hit, said Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek's Office in a release.
Alrefai was rushed to the emergency room at St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus where he was pronounced dead, officials said. His death has been ruled accidental by cause of multiple blunt force injuries, Lysek added.
No charges were announced in connection with the crash.
