EHT Man Speeding When He Struck, Killed 13-Year-Old: Prosecutor
A 71-year-old Egg Harbor Township man was charged with vehicular homicide after he struck and killed a 13-year-old Pleasantville boy, authorities announced Tuesday, Aug. 26.
On Saturday, May 17 at 2:20 p.m., Gary Battisti struck a 13-year-old boy while driving on Delaware Avenue in Egg Harbor Township, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.
The 13-year-old, who was not identified, was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, authorities said. Battisti was traveling at an excessive speed at the time of the crash, authorities said.
Ventnor City Driver Killed Pedestrian On Black Horse Pike, Fled Scene: Prosecutor
A 32-year-old Ventnor City man was indicted by a grand jury for fatally striking a pedestrian and leaving the scene, authorities announced Thursday, Aug. 7.
On Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 6 p.m., Gino Garofalo struck Alisha Cottman, a 40-year-old Atlantic City resident, while driving on the Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said. Garofalo fled the scene while Cottman was pronounced dead as a result of her injuries, authorities said.

Assault At Egg Harbor Nature Reserve Under Investigation, Cops Say
A person was assaulted at the Nature Reserve in Egg Harbor Township on Wednesday, July 23, authorities said.
Officers responded to the park, at 318 Zion Rd., and found an assault victim, Egg Harbor Township police said.
The person was treated by first responders and transported to a local hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The assault is under investigation, but there is no active or ongoing threat to the public, police said, calling it "an isolated incident."

Egg Harbor Township Motorcyclist Killed In Crash: Township Of Hamilton PD
A 71-year-old Egg Harbor Township man was killed in a crash on Monday, May 26, in the Township of Hamilton, authorities said.
At 3:10 p.m., officers responded to Weymouth Road near the Winding River Campground after a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox made a left turn and was hit by a 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle, Township of Hamilton Police said.
The motorcyclist, Vance Virtue, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver of the Equinox was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, police said.
