23 Sex Offenders Nabbed In ICE Operation On Long Island, In NYC
Nearly two dozen alleged sexual predators are off the streets after being busted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations on Long Island. Twenty-three immigrants and alleged sexual offenders with previous criminal convictions ranging from sexual abuse to rape were busted during “Operation SOAR (Sex Offender Alien Removal),” on Saturday, Nov. 2. Sister Patricia Ann Maher died on March 27, at the Maryknoll Sisters Center in Maryknoll. She was 92 years old and had been a Maryknoll Sister for 71 years. Patricia was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on January 14, 1927, to Helen Mae (Crist) Maher and Joseph P. Maher. She had two brothers, Gerald and Joseph, all of whom have predeceased her; she is survived by her niece. In 1945, she graduated from Immaculata High School in Detroit. An El Salvadoran national is facing prison time after admitting to illegally reentering the country three times following his arrest for impaired driving when he crashed into a police cruiser in Connecticut. Alfredo Dagoberto Hercules-Santos, 40, has pleaded guilty in Bridgeport district court to one count of reentry of a removed alien.
