The Town of Newburgh Police nabbed five of six people involved in a kidnapping/robbery where the victim was taken from a hotel room to an ATM and then dumped on the side of the road, but are still searching for one suspect. The robbery took place on March 24 when the six suspects targeted a City of Newburgh man and lured him to a motel, where they accosted him, forced him into a vehicle and drove him to an ATM to steal his money before dumping him on the side of the road, said Lt. A Middletown man and 61-year-old man from Monroe were among four busted by New York State Police troopers for drinking and driving overnight as law enforcement agencies continue their crackdown on impaired driving in the region. Middletown Man Faces DWI Charge In I-84 Stop
ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. - An Orange County woman was among three busted for driving while impaired overnight in the Hudson Valley. Dating back to Dec. 15, New York State Police and local law enforcement agencies say they've been “out in full force” to curtail impaired drivers in the region. On Thursday night, State Police troopers stopped Middletown resident Darla Krzyak, 73, on I-84 in Montgomery for a vehicle and traffic law violation. With State Police continuing to crack down on impaired drivers, four Hudson Valley motorists were among six busted for drinking and driving this week. On Tuesday, state police troopers in Haverstraw stopped New City resident Miriam Wolfson, 55, on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Stony Point when she committed a vehicle and traffic law violation.
