A Westchester school district was put on high alert when an intruder “exhibiting signs of emotional distress” entered an area high school and refused to comply with security, officials said. Former Olympian Michael Barisone of Long Valley is facing a lawsuit from the 39-year-old equestrienne he is accused of shooting last August at his horse farm, a recent news report says. Lauren Kanarek and her fiancé Robert Goodwin were incessantly harassed prior to the Aug. 7 shooting, according to the lawsuit -- filed against Barisone and his company, Sweetgrass Farms, NJ.com reports. A former student at Bloomfield High School who was sexually assaulted by a teacher has filed a lawsuit alleging the school should have known he was a potential danger to students, according to published reports.
