Man Shot Near Ewing Waste Management Plant, Police Say
A man was rushed to the hospital after being shot near a waste management plant in Ewing early on Monday, Sept. 26, authorities said. Officers responding to a report of a shooting near 432 Stokes Ave. found the victim with a gunshot wound to the leg just after 6:05 a.m., Ewing Police said in a press release. The address appears on Google Maps as the location of Central Jersey Waste. The man was taken to a nearby hospital and was said to be in stable condition, according to police. Accused Catalytic Converter Thief Busted With Burglar’s Tools, Crack Cocaine In Ewing: Police
A Trenton man previously accused of stealing catalytic converters was busted with a variety of burglar’s tools and crack cocaine by officers investigating even more catalytic converter thefts around Ewing, police said. Ewing Police Officer David Massi saw Anthony Riggins, 49, crouching behind a vehicle while patroling Troy Avenue around 3:55 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11, authorities said in a release. Ewing Man Shot, Killed In Trenton: Prosecutor
A 34-year-old Ewing man was shot and killed in Trenton on Sunday, Sept. 11, authorities confirmed. Officers responding to a Shot Spotter activation on the 300 block of Garfield Avenue found Chron Jenks with a gunshot wound to the chest around 5 a.m., Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said in a release with local officials. Jenks was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead shortly after, Onofri said. The Ewing school district is mourning the unexpected loss of an elementary student. A fourth-grade student at Lore Elementary School died suddenly after a “courageous battle,” Assistant Superintendent Dr. Danita Ishibashi said in a release on the school’s website.
