Two Teens In Custody After Chase, Crash Involving Stolen Car In Fairfield
Two teens are in custody after taking Fairfield police on a chase and then crashing the stolen vehicle they were driving. The incident took place around 3 a.m. Tuesday after a resident Mill Plain Road called the police to report several suspicious males in dark clothing walking up and down her neighbor’s driveways attempting to enter their cars, said Lt. Robert Kalamaras. Fire Erupts Laundry Room Of Home In Fairfield
FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A fire broke out in the laundry room of a Fairfield home on Saturday, but quick action by the homeowner kept it from spreading, according to the Fairfield Fire Department. The homeowner closed interior doors, preventing the smoke and fire from extending into the $650,000 single-family home on Lampwick Lane, according to a Facebook post from the fire department. Car Bursts Into Flames During Snowstorm Near I-95 Rest Area In Fairfield
FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Fairfield firefighters had to battle blinding snow, gale force winds, and a frozen nozzle as the doused a car fire during Thursday's snowstorm, according to a Facebook post. Engine 1 and Rescue 1 responded to the car fire on I- 95 northbound near the rest area in Fairfield. The problems "caused by the arctic cold made a routine fire difficult," the Facebook post.
