A banner plane pilot was airlifted to a South Jersey hospital after crashing near a Gloucester County airport, authorities said. On Thursday, Sept. 14, at 4:14 p.m., Monroe Township police responded to Cross Keys Airport for an aircraft accident. A single-engine Cessna 150G banner plane crashed in the wooded area west of the airport while attempting to lift a banner, Monrow Township police said. Authorities have identified the 44-year-old pilot killed in a helicopter crash on Thursday, Aug. 31. Josef Yitzhak of Israel died in the crash, South Brunswick police said.
