A fourth Hudson Valley county has executed a State of Emergency in an effort to stop New York City from sending migrants and asylum seekers, in addition to enacting three executive orders. Putnam County Executive Kevin Byrne, a Republican, said on Monday, May 22 that he had executed and filed a State of Emergency in relation to New York City's "recent moves to relocate asylum seekers to Hudson Valley counties without proper coordination with local municipalities," he said in a statement released by county officials. Asylum Seekers, Migrants Headed For Another Hotel In Region
With less than 24 hours notice, a county in the region was notified that 80 migrants and asylum seekers would be dropped off at an area hotel. The drop-off will take place in Sullivan County at the Knights Inn in Liberty on Thursday, May 18. Sullivan County Legislative Chairman Robert A. Doherty said the county was notified of the transfer of migrants from New York City to Liberty. "The way the City, New York state, and the federal government are approaching this issue is reckless and unsustainable, as many county leaders have said across the state," said Doherty. "In Sullivan’s case…

Suffolk County’s bond rating is at its highest level in nearly five years, according to S&P Global Ratings. Here's What Group Of People Will Get A Federal Stimulus Check In 2022
It is unlikely that the federal government will distribute a fresh round of stimulus checks to most Americans again, but some will qualify for some financial assistance in 2022. During the COVID-19 outbreak, eligible Americans received as many as three stimulus checks to help them ride out the pandemic, though a fourth is unlikely, outside of a specific group. Parents who gave birth to a child in 2021 will be eligible for a 2022 stimulus check of up to $1,400, similar to the third round that was issued in March. Eligible new parents who inform the IRS they had a baby — or babies — when th…

19 Vaccine To Microchip Citizens
One in five Americans believes the federal government is using the COVID-19 vaccine to microchip the population, according to a recent poll. The sharpest divisions between pro- and anti-vaxxers in America, to few people's surprise, are political, the Economist/YouGov poll found. Nearly 30% of Republican poll respondents – and only 4% of Democrats -- said they aren’t getting vaccinated. More whites than Black and Hispanic respondents in the Economist/You Gov poll said they reject the vaccine, while more Midwesterners and Southerners came out against vaccination than elsewhere in the country…

For the tenth consecutive decade Pennsylvania’s population has declined, forcing the state to lose a US House seat and an electoral college vote. Pennsylvania has been a battleground state in recent presidential elections but it will now have only 19 votes in the electoral college. PA will maintain its ranking as the state with the sixth highest number of electoral college votes between Ohio and Illinois. The U.S. Census Bureau has not officially released figures on how the population changed from 2010 to last year. The population decline will not just effect the state’s influence in the …
