US Marshals Capture Murder Suspect After Months On The Run In Woodbridge, Police Say
A man wanted in a November 2023 murder has been arrested by US Marshals agents on Wednesday, July 10 in Prince William County, authorities announced.
Tyus James Terrell, 27, had been wanted since Nov. 14, 2023 in the murder of Quatrail Raynard Smalls, 26, of Big Stone Gap, county police previously said.
Terrell was arrested by the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force in the area of Dale Blvd and Neabsco Mills Road in Woodbridge, police said.
He was charged with murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and held without bond.

A mother and her children's caregiver are both facing child abuse charges in Prince William County after a boy suffered "serious burns" from unchecked bathwater, police say.
Ninoska Marisol Torres Moradel, 23, and Marvin De Jesus Alvarado Lozano, 46, both of Manassas, have been arrested and charged following a months-long investigation into the boy's injuries.
According to investigators, Torres Moradel left her 2-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl unattended in their residents on Fairmont Avenue in Manassas in late January.

An inmate at a local jail is facing more charges after allegedly assaulting a corrections officer.
The incident happened Wednesday, May 22, at the Saratoga County jail in Ballston Spa, but was not reported publicly until Tuesday, July 2.
Sheriff’s officials said John Rathbun, age 26, punched a corrections officer in the face and bit him, causing injuries. The officer was treated at a medical facility and released.
Rathbun, who is homeless, was charged with second-degree assault, a felony.

Dutchess County residents Christopher J. Duquette, age 66, of Hyde Park, and Nelson Acevedo, age 53, of Beekman, were both charged on Sunday, June 30, said Capt. John Watterson with the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.

A Pennsylvania woman has been arrested for financially exploiting a senior she had the power of attorney over, police said.
Mary S. Shealer, 58, is charged with multiple felony counts related to theft, Berks County DA John Adams said.
According to forensic auditors, Shealer drew checks totaling $9,600 from the victim's bank account in 2019 and 2020, without the victim's knowledge or consent, Adams said. Authorities were notified of the incidents in August 2021, according to the DA.
