: Minivan Goes Up In Flames Off Route 3 In Clifton
Clifton firefighters doused a fast-moving minivan fire Monday morning. No injuries were reported in the incident, which occurred at the Allwood Road off-ramp from westbound Route 3. House Fire Breaks Out In Mahopac
Firefighters knocked down a house fire that broke out on Secor Road in Mahopac after 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29. Fire crews from the Mahopac Falls Fire Department received reports of smoke billowing from a house on Secor Road. Emergency teams converged on the scene and found heavy smoke upon entering the home, but little fire was found. The property owners were on the scene to stay close to their dogs. A family was displaced days before Christmas after a fire broke out in an apartment building in Mount Vernon. Fire officials confirmed that a fire broke out in a third-floor apartment at approximately 10 a.m. on Friday, sending at least one family out in the cold and rain with Christmas fast approaching. A shopping center had to be evacuated after a carpet cleaning business caught fire, sending black smoke into the surrounding stores and closing a major roadway. Two families were displaced on late Thursday night after a fire broke out in the upper floors of a multi-family home in Yonkers.
