Authorities are offering rewards of up to $5,000 for information regarding an early morning fire that occurred at an empty clergy house in Arlington, fire officials said. Firefighters responded to the area of 22 Appleton Street just before 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, according to a release from State Fire Marshal Peter J. Ostroskey. Authorities have identified the man killed in a fiery Newark crash involving a tanker truck and two cars. A Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Durhon Fuller, 34, hit the back of a tanker truck at the Bergen Street and Madison Avenue intersection around 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. The Southbound lane of I-91 in Meriden at Exit 17 is closed due to a truck accident and fire. Connecticut State Police said today, Monday, July 27 at 10:30 a.m., a tractor-trailer was in an accident and caught fire. A man killed in a Paterson house fire Tuesday afternoon was identified Friday as longtime city resident Charles Bennett, 83. Responders found Bennett unresponsive in the basement, where the fire in the two-family home on 17th Avenue broke out. He was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. Victim Killed In Bayonne Fire ID'd As 98-Year-Old Woman
A 98-year-old woman died and two other residents of a Bayonne home were injured in a Sunday night blaze, authorities said. Firefighters found heavy fire and smoke coming from a two-story house at 18 E. 16th St., around 6:15 p.m., Deputy Fire Chief William Bartos said.
