Three people from three different Long Island stores were arrested after authorities claimed they sold alcohol, tobacco, and THC products to minors.
The arrests took place on Monday, March 18 throughout Nassau County with the assistance of underage agents and the department’s Problem Oriented Policing (POP) unit.
In East Meadow, Cindy Granados Vigil, a 21-year-old, was arrested for what authorities said was the second time in four months for selling tobacco products to minors at Hempstead Convenience & Smoke, located at 2125 Hempstead Turnpike.

Nassau County Police announced the arrest of 38-year-old Anthony Boglino of Miller Place on Wednesday, Feb. 7 for the alleged scheme, which took place about seven months prior.
On Sunday, July 2, 2023, Boglino — who is the founder of Miele Consulting Corporation — met with a woman, 48, in Merrick under the guise of helping her secure a Small Business Administration Loan (SBA).

Two suspects have been apprehended after an armed robbery of a Long Island convenience store.
A man approached an employee of Speedy Mart and Gas in Port Jefferson Station, located at 1034 Route 112, displayed a gun, and demanded cash, at around 9:20 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, Suffolk County Police said.
The clerk complied, and the robber fled the scene on foot to a vehicle waiting down the street.

A Long Island man was arrested after he drew a fake firearm behind him in a McDonald’s drive-thru line, authorities said.
The incident happened on Sunday, Jan. 7 at the Hicksville McDonald’s, located at 805 South Broadway.
According to Nassau County Police, it was just before 10 p.m. when a 31-year-old woman and her three children, ages 12, 7, and 1, were waiting in the restaurant’s drive-thru line behind a red Hyundai operated by Nicholas Carpenzano, age 32 of Patchogue.

A Long Island driver who hit a man and drove away, leaving him on the street, has been arrested, police said.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, Dec. 26 in Uniondale.
According to Nassau County Police, 68-year-old Robert Hauswald was driving his gray 2001 Mercury when, just before 7:30 p.m., he struck a man near the intersection of Front Street and Maple Avenue.
