Hunterdon County Man Burglarizes Jewelry Store, Struggles With Arresting Officers, Police Say
A Hunterdon County man who had just burglarized a local jewelry store and escaped through a broken window struggled with officers attempting to arrest him earlier this week, authorities said.
Daniel Malinowski, 30, is accused of breaking into Saunders Jeweler’s in Flemington before escaping through a broken window around 12:35 a.m. Monday, borough police said.
Officers arrived at the scene within minutes and found Malinoswki attempting to cross Route 202 South, police said.
Malinoswki, of Whitehouse Station, was arrested following after struggling with officers, police said.

Central Jersey Man Swallows Heroin, Busted With 49 Folds, Police Say
A Central Jersey man accused of selling heroin swallowed narcotics in an attempt to hide them from police in Flemington, authorities said.
Jesse Chambers, 44, was approached in a vehicle near Park Avenue in front of Steve’s Food Store in Flemington on Sept. 9, borough police said in a release.
Chambers, of Sayreville, was asked to exit the vehicle after officers saw him attempting to conceal narcotics in his mouth, police said.
Officers’ efforts to get Chambers to spit out the drugs were unsuccessful, and he eventually swallowed them, police said.

Support Spikes For Family Of Hunterdon County HS Grad Jake Taylor, 25, Killed In Ida Flooding
Support is on the rise for the family of Jake John Taylor, a Hunterdon County High School graduate who died Sept. 2 in the Ida storm flooding at the age of 25.
Born in Raritan Township, Taylor graduated from high school in 2014, his obituary says.
Taylor was a hard worker with past experience at AMC theaters in Bridgewater, the food service department at Hunterdon Medical Center, the Flemington Department Store and Kohls. He most recently worked as a team member at Chick-fil-A in Flemington, his memorial says.
