A new butcher shop and restaurant is opening in Wayne next month.
Pete's Meats will be holding its soft opening on Route 23 Dec. 1, owner Pete DiMarco said.
DiMarco has worked in the restaurant supply industry for 25 years and expanded his delivery service during the pandemic.
Chef Alex Diaz, who spent more than two decades working in executive New York City positions, will be working at the new restaurant, BoozyBurbs reports.

After a lengthy closure due to COVID-19, a popular eatery in Northern Westchester has begun delivering and offering take out to customers.
"Kisco River Eatery has been missing you," wrote Bobby Epstein, the owner of Kisco River Eatery in Mount Kisco, on Friday, April 30. "We have made the decision to re-open for delivery and takeout."

Connecticut has some of the pickiest eaters in the country, according to a new report.
Uber Eats 2020 “Cravings Report” notes that people in Connecticut - along with Georgia, New Jersey, Tennessee, and Nevada - provide the most “special instructions” on orders when compared to other states.
The least picky, or the states with the fewest order changes and substitutions, are Delaware, Vermont, Wyoming, Utah, and North Dakota.
